Parades are a common thing that I as a photojournalist usually cover at a newspaper. Although it may seem repetitive from year to year, I always find that these events are fun and exciting to be at. There is a huge opportunity in finding a lot of participants who are either preparing, rehearsing, or getting ready for the start of the event.
So I came to Burbank on Parade about an hour early. That usually gives me enough time to find a lot of feature photos before the parade.
Burbank on Parade has been a tradition for the city to hold as a yearly event. The rain had passed the day before and local families were able to enjoy the cool and sunny weather.
